Fancy dress costumes

Mr bens fancy dress is now over 12 years old. In that time has seen many changes in the

fancy dress
costume trend.
speaking to Fiona Francis the owner and director of the company , it appears that costume

fancy dress
is nothing but a dieing trade , but a booming industry, that is constantly bringing new

innovation and
style to parties all over the country , and the world.

Back in 1997 when Fiona first set up Mr Bens . Fancy dress was difficult to get hold of.
She remembers taking trips to chesterfield market to get her fabric, and copying patterns

vintage garments.

there was a huge out cry for 1970's fancy dress back in the first few years. However to get

hold of flares, and jump suits
did mean making them yourself. Our 70's elvis was a giant hit. and we followed this up
by creating glam rock jumps suits in stretch purple paisley and other ghastly designs.
big zips up front from crotch to chest bone. And to top them off they all had matching
baker boy hats.

These fancy dress costumes where unique and got hired out time and time again.

Over the years the availability to purchase hire quality costumes has improved. But all the
better for the customer, we can sell them to you now at very affordable prices.so no need to

hire any more when you
can buy your costume from us and get to keep it.
We remember having to make a john travolta white suit because so many requests had beenmade
for them . and in order to get it right we payed a fortune for a pattern from a pattern

makers
specialising in fancy dress for the trade. five years later smiffys began to produce a white
john travolta fancy dress costume that is affordable for one nights wear and to dispose of

it
if you wish.

We cant believe how many new exciting costumes for fancy dress there are now for you the
customer to chose from.

We pride our selves in listening to our customers and getting the latest fancy dress ideas
on our site before the rest.

keep a head of the game with mr bens fancy dress.
and if you can come up with any ideas we have missed, or would like us to get hold
of for you.

What is fancy dress/ disguise,? and how to do it!!

Definitions of fancy dress on the Web:

We at Mr bens fancy dress were looking into the definitions of fancy dress, and disguise.

just read what we came up with

1.# a costume worn as a disguise at a masquerade party
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

2.# A costume party (American English) or a fancy dress party (British English), mainly in

contemporary Western culture, is a type of party where guests dress up in a costume.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fancy_dress

# Attributive form of fancy dress, noun
Definitions of disguise on the Web:

1* an outward semblance that misrepresents the true nature of something; "the theatrical

notion of disguise is always associated with catastrophe in his stories"

2* any attire that modifies the appearance in order to conceal the wearer's identity

* make unrecognizable; "The herb masks the garlic taste"; "We disguised our faces before

robbing the bank"

3* the act of concealing the identity of something by modifying its appearance; "he is a

master of disguise"

4.DISGUISES....

while not a food, were romantic fantasies played out between the courses.

Frequently the host (Edward III and Richard II among others) played a role. The earliest

records are from 1347 and show up in the clothing and props that were planned. Costumes

were often outlandish but did not necessarily hide the participants' identities. Disguises

were most frequently done during Tudor and Stuart periods. The disguisers might sing and

dance but never interacted with the dinner guests as was done with the interludes. So that

everyone might be aware of the meaning of the strange costumes and activities, a

"presenter" would make comments. Mumming may have been an offshoot of the early disguises.
how to disguise yourself!!

Things You'll Need:

* Wig
* make-up
* accessories (hat, glasses, etc…)
* fat suit
1.

Step 1

Apply make-up. If you normally wear make-up, try colors different from what you are

used to. If you tend to wear a lot, try wearing less and vice versa.
2.

Step 2

Create a different hairstyle. You can add a wig for length or a completely new

hairstyle. Cutting your hair is another way to go. If you decide not to wear a wig, change

the color and/or texture of your natural hair.
Example: If your hair is naturally black and curly, try blonde and straight.
3.
Step 3

Add accessories. Wear a hat; this will repel attention from your face. Wearing glasses

is a good way to veil your eyes.
4.
Step 4

Dress in clothes and accessories traditionally designed for the opposite sex.
5.
Step 5

Altar the appearance of your size. If you are thin, wear a fat suit. If the opposite

is true, consider wearing clothes that appear to slim your figure.
6.
Step 6

Change the way you talk. If you have an accent that is indigenous to a particular

geographical region, try to speak without it. If you do not have a distinct accent, add one.
